solo traveling

traveling solo is amazing
I believe traveling solo has some great advantages. An unequivocal sense of autonomy and the possibility of doing exactly what you want and need to do during your holiday or business trip. Each of us has a unique set of interests, wishes and needs. Traveling solo, may it be for leisure or business, offers an opportunity to reflect, reinforce or even reinvent yourself.
Also, as a passionate feminist, I acknowledge that as long as patriarchy shapes our societies, traveling solo is a different experience for women. To such an extent, that some women don’t even feel comfortable traveling alone. I find it highly gratifying to nullify this inequality, using my skills as a private guide for solo traveling women.
Let me explain my method to you:

my method

Step 1: Get acquainted (free)
On this website you can browse at will to get to know me a little better. I have years of experience as a private guide, I know how to get this job done professionally. But in a one-on-one private guiding setting, it makes all the difference if you and I have a ‘click’. My clients describe me as a warmhearted professional guide. However, I am not an escort-person. To minimize the risk of misunderstandings, I offer my services only to solo-traveling ladies.
If you want to get in touch, simply write me an email, indicating your traveling plans and wishes. Once we have established rates and availability, we’ll schedule a free-of-charge video call. The goal of this video call is twofold. One, you can reassure yourself that my services as a private guide/companion will be a valuable addition to your trip. Second, with the information that we shared during this video-meet-up, I’ll create a complementary itinerary advice with you.
Step 2: Itinerary advice (free)
Within two weeks after our video-call I aim to send you the first draft of my free-of-charge itinerary advice for your stay in Amsterdam. Based on your feedback, I’ll rework it. My goal is to make an itinerary that reflects your wishes and needs, so nothing will be standard about it. I offer my knowledge about the specificities of Amsterdam (and beyond), I can scout and extent where needed. We’ll work on this itinerary till it fits you like a glove.
Step 3: Booking
Based on this itinerary you decide for which parts you would like to book me as your private guide. This can range from a simple 2-hour tour to a full-time commitment as a companion for all the days of your itinerary.
Although the complementary itinerary is just an advice, you can also let me handle (parts of) the booking that is involved in this itinerary. Any aspect of your stay, from the moment you arrive here, can also be handled by me (hotel, transfers, tickets, spa-treatments, photographer, workshops etc.). Full transparency: I charge a small fee for this service (15%), which enables me to cherry pick independently.
The booking is confirmed by paying 2-hours guiding tariff, plus 100% of the costs involving third parties (see Terms and Conditions )
Step 4: Guiding
Shortly before you arrive in Amsterdam, I will send you a reminder of the itinerary and clear description of our first rendezvous point. During the time that I spend alongside you as your private guide and companion, I will share my knowledge and insights in a lively and engaging fashion (I know no other way). But most of all, I will guard your well being. Because I believe that a relaxed, aimable atmosphere is key to enjoying traveling solo into uncharted territories.
